Long time, my friends.

Crisp.
Air.
Pleased.
Trees.

I am clinging to the promise of fall tighter than ever.  I naturally love this time, and no matter how drab and exhausting my post-grad life can become, autumn will never become tarnished or bitter in my mind. It is unarguably the best season for expressing yourself with your double layers and dare I say...scarves (boots, you go without saying). Yet, even more so, I feel connected to fall, perhaps it is due to my astrological sign, or just my fond memories. My senses are alive and I can hold onto this warming time to push me to the finish.

Please. Take a moment, and sweetly take in the wild, unmixed beyond beautiful transition that mother earth is about to take on. We as human beings, should take the time to admire, but truly, fully and organically transition alongside her.

Now, for soothing another sense, listen on a bright, puffy-clouded, fall morning, driving to nowhere.

Things I am lusting about to add in my new home...

1. puppy.
I will name him after one of my favorite artists, like Zep or something to that nature. Australian Shep it is!

2. Super cool art to add.

3. Embroidered pillows and pops of lovely color in my charming little house.

4. Woodstock photos circa '69.

5. Chaise lounge. Marie Antoinette would be jealous.

6. Big, super comfy and colorful blanket for friends and lovers.

7. A dream catcher for all those slumbering nights.

summer skin

I miss sun kissed shoulders and honey hued hair. I miss my summer skin and summer wardrobe. I have been day-dreaming about blowing dandelions. I am will search out immediately for crochet, long maxi skirts and dream-catcher jewelry that intertwine feathers and leathers. Tribal influences may be seen, yet I will still find ways to incorporate small town charms.

death of a muse

Muse, Suze Rotolo, died today at age 67 due to a long illness. She was the girl behind dozens of Bob Dylan's most famous songs, and the cover girl on his Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.

They met when she was 17, backstage at a show.

"Right from the start I couldn't take my eyes off her," Dylan wrote. "She was the most erotic thing I'd ever seen. She was fair skinned and golden haired, full-blooded Italian. The air was suddenly filled with banana leaves. We started talking and my head started to spin. Cupid's arrow had whistled past my ears before, but this time it hit me in the heart and the weight of it dragged me overboard."

They moved in together and roamed around NYC, until Rotolo went on a summer trip to her native Italy.

Rotolo broke off the relationship due to rumors of him and Joan Baez being more than collaborators. She married an Itialian film editor, had children and later wrote an autobiography about living in Greenwich Village during the 60's.

"Don't think twice it's all right", "Boots of Spanish Leather" and "Tomorrow is a long time" were all ballads inspired by Suze.
